It's Studio Season At Planet Knobby

Starting July 10, I've spent all available time (which means creating available time) recording and re-recording songs, laying down vocal tracks and instrumental tracks. It's hard work, but I live for this. There's little else that compares to hearing a song well-written, well-recorded, like a gift to be opened and enjoyed, at the end of the process.

That's what all of this is: a gift. I didn't create myself, and I don't create my own world. Reality is my extremely filtered perceptions and judgments of my inner and outer place, and I receive it with thanks for free. It's too good sometimes. To have such riches pressing in on me daily and not giving thanks and rejoicing would be like crossing the dance floor with Frankie Beverly blasting on the system and not dancing.

It's like the old show Quantum Leap, in which Scott Bakula wakes up in someone else's body and life every week or so. If I'm going to wake up in a musician's body, with a musician's training, having said musician's equipment available all day, I'm going to organize wonderful sounds for us all to enjoy.
